out of the earth by clear shining after
rain. In the xxii chap[ter] we get the sym-
pathies of C[hris]t, and the circumstances
of David, the anticipation of God's
glory, & the destruction of evil. We
get the sympathies of C[hris]t to sustain
us under all the trials which may
attend us, & the hope of rest & joy, set
before us in His coming, our minds
are brought thus into fellowship
with the sufferings, & with the glory of
C[hris]t. God gave Saul to Israel to try the
strength of man; When Saul proved un-
faithful God set his eye directly upon
David, the family of Jesse were called
out, all Jesse's 7 sons he thought of were
passed by, but there was a lad keep-
ing the sheep, the one chosen of God.
