I was kindly donated this item. I have added the first few pages and attempted to some transcription with the help of Grok, but likely to be mistakes. If anyone is interested in transcribing then I will scan more of it.

is there perhaps in a later entry some indication of the year[?s] when these passages were written? Elizabeth Messer [née Wright] was J J Penstone's second wife whom he married in c. 1881. The diary seems to be from an earlier time. Elizabeth Wright was a cousin of James Wright and came from a Bristol Quaker family. She died in 1892 some ten years before JJP who probably endorsed the Diary after her death. Although JJP's early life was associated with Stanford in the Vale, Berkshire, his later years were lived at Stamford [not Stanford] Hill in North London.

Thanks for the help with the transcipts Timothy. There is a date around the middle of the book of 1841, and near the end, a date of 1844 mentioned. Hopefully should have a full scan up within the next few weeks.
